Four games in four days and this was a game that went ahead aginst all the odds!!  Thank you so much to Grobming for allowing us to use their pitch again.

We played a strong Mitterberg/Pruggern team who finally breached our strong defence to win 3-1.  Sadly we couldn’t turn our possession into goals as tired legs lacked that bit of extra power needed to get the ball past the goalkeeper.  2-0 down at half time saw a change of formation for us and we were even stronger in the second half with us going close on several occasions.  Grace had a shot destined for the top corner turned away with a very good save by the keeper.  Maddy too went very close with a shot just over the bar.  Vicky rolled back the years a strong performance in midfield.  Ruth and Sarah put in another immense performance against older players.  Mama Sue again played a full game and also came close with a shot and had a few surging runs cutting open the defence.  Emma and Annie ran tirelessly with Caro solid in the centre of defense.  Eventually the breakthrough came with another strong run by Grace, beating a couple of players, hitting the byeline and pulling the ball back for Annie to slot home.  Unfortunately soon after Mitterberg/Pruggern broke and hit a shot too powerful to hold and even though we continued to pour forward with attack upon attack we couldn’t get the goals our performance deserved.  Well played Mitterberg/Pruggern, such an enjoyable match with everyone playing in slightly muddy conditions but with such great smiles on their faces!!

The fellowship afterwards was so great that there was no disappointment over the defeat.  Sue again shared testimony and many of the girls were exchanging names and details so new friends could be added on facebook.  Pray on for the girls we had conversations with, that they will read the books and bibles given to them and remember the message of the 4 point bracelets we also gave them.  Pray they will receive Jesus in the near future.
