Game 3 saw a very exciting match v Grobming Ladies.

It was a tremendous evening in many ways.

Grobming were a very good team but SportsReach ladies raised their game and played brilliantly.  The goalkeeper kept Grobming in the match with a great display, making save after save. Our defence was solid and was only really breached once when Emma made a fantastic cat like save pouncing on the ball right on the line!!!  With only five minutes of normal time remaining, Grace broke down the wing and cut inside and drove a shot from a tight angle which beat the keeper and went in off the far post!  A deserved lead.  The referee then proceeded to play “Fergie time” + a little bit more, as Grobming pressed for an equaliser but our girls defended stoically to the end, literally putting bodies in the line of fire to prevent an equaliser!! 1 – 0 and a very much deserved and hard fought win.

Sharing time followed in the changing room with Caro sharing testimony and Sue bringing the message.  There was a very good atmosphere and great conversations followed with friendships being made and facebook contacts being shared.  Several of the girls are daughters of men we have known and played against for many years!  Great now that we are reaching the next generation and receiving such warm welcomes from the girls teams in the region.  Praise God for open doors and for opportunities to share His great message with so many.
