SPORTSREACH NETBALL LEAGUE

The last night of netball in the SportsReach league for 2015 was a great evening.  The weather was good and some close and competitive games ensued.  At the midway point of the evening, all 16 teams playing that evening and their hardy supporters gathered together for the message shared by Brian Carter from Quernmore.  He shared about the Light of the world the apostle John writes about, who came into the world and the darkness has never overcome that Light.  Brian illustrated this with reference to the power cuts in the Lancaster area in recent weeks!  He also went on to share how he had lost something very precious to him and that Jesus, the reason for Christmas, the most precious part of Christmas, can and is missed and lost by so many today. Brian challenged us all to look to Jesus and not to miss out on the real reason for Christmas, or the real reason why Jesus came – to save us and to bring us back to God.

“And she will have a Son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”  Matthew 1:21
