Another crisp, clear, cold night enabling some great netball to be played! In one of the messages tonight the players were reminded that 14th Feb (Valentines Day – the day of love!) is looming, but that God’s demonstration of love for us, far outweighs any of our demonstrations of love, as He gave His only Son for us that we might be forgiven and be saved. Romans 5:8 “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
On the netball front, several issues were decided last night. In division one, Chipping WildCats maintained their 100% record and are now just one win away from the title. Diamonds secured at least second place, with a very close win over TopCats who are secure in third. Lightning have fourth as they beat Crown Lane.
In division two the top spot is still up for grabs! Mantawrays won the only game in division two last night to move back to the top on goal difference above Thunder. Sapphires are just two points behind in third and with the top four playing each other next week it promises to be a close and nail biting finish to the season!
The only game in division three saw the battle of Lancaster being contested by the Royals and the Roses, with Royals triumphing 15-9 and regaining top place from Crystals. With both Royals and Crystals having just one game left each it is still possible for either to win the title.
