SportsReach Netball League
Back to netball after the Christmas break and a beautifully crisp, clear, cool moonlit night meant standing around wasn’t an option if you wanted to keep warm! The message I listened to reminded us of the perseverance of the wise men as they travelled many miles, costing them time and money as they came to worship Jesus. Are we willing to seek Jesus for ourselves was the question posed. Wise men and women still seek Jesus. When they found Him they bowed down and worshipped Him and gave Him their gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. What are we willing to give Him? The line of a carol says – “What can I give Him poor as I am? If I were a shepherd I would bring a lamb, if I were a wise man I would do my part. Yet what I can I give Him? Give Him my heart.” This year will we give Him our hearts?
On the netball front, everyone soon seemed to get back into the swing of things and no one seemed to be struggling with any after effects from too much chocolate!! 🙂 Well, maybe one umpire, a little!! 😉
