Day Five saw game Five! Thanks be to God for opening so many doors for us to not only play a game we love but also to share about the Saviour we love more.
Tired legs but strong hearts were evident in a very cold and misty Wednesday night game.
A strong Selzthal team – League Champions for six years – ran out 4 – 0 winners, although the scoreline did flatter them a little. Again we played well and never stopped running, but tired legs meant we struggled to put the ball in the net, although we did cause them problems and forced them into saves and last ditch tackles. We never gave up and each player played so well and gave everything. Team spirit was fantastic and our time afterwards with the team in the clubhouse was warm and very friendly and we were made to feel most welcome as they gave us snacks and drinks. Vicky shared how Jesus had changed her life and Sue shared a visual illustration using a cup, of how Jesus wants to change us all from the inside out. We were warmly invited to come again, maybe next time we will plan the game for earlier in the week when legs aren’t as tired!
