SportsReach 0 – 5 Vendenesse

This would probably be one of the highlights of the tour for many of the team despite the scoreline.  It was a great evening with around 20 players from Vendenesse turning up to play us – apparently they usually only get half that number for training!  We have played them on nearly every visit to France and a warmth of friendship has developed between us.  It was another gorgeous evening, hot and sunny followed by a beautiful sunset displayed on the magnificent French countryside, a great setting for a football match.  The scoreline maybe should have been closer as we played very well without managing to score.  Everyone put in a lot of work and dug deep for the energy to keep going.

The after match presentation was both warm and friendly as the players all sat to listen attentively as Pascaline translated for Will and Sooty.  It was great to see many conversations going on after the message amongst the players before we showered and then enjoyed further fellowship over drinks and snacks.
