SportsReach Champions Cup Results – 7th November

8 Nov

There were six games scheduled as the SportsReach Champions Cup returned for the 2015/16 season. However, just one match (played on a 3G surface) managed to survive the torrential rain that has affected the north-west in recent days. All grass pitches were deemed unplayable and so these postponed fixtures will ‘roll over’ to the following week as we attempt to conclude the 1st Round before Christmas.

In the only game played, holders Longton recorded a convincing win against a young and spirited Heysham side. A ‘perfect’ hat-trick from Dave Sharp was the highlight of the afternoon whilst a goal from Gregg Metcalf saw him edge in front in the Top Goalscorers table.

Heysham 0-12 Longton
Danny Stephenson 6, 14 Dave Sharp 23, 34, 81 Tom Scott pen 43, Nat Richardson 48, 66 Tom Cobham 63, Chris Chetwood 71, Gregg Metcalf 77, Pete Stephenson 79

Fleetwood P-P Fulwood
Great Ecc P-P Kendal
Quernmore P-P Wray
Garstang P-P Loko
Lancaster P-P Accrington
