SportsReach Football League Awards Evening

Monday 5th May was the league awards evening held at Capernwray Hall.

A great meal was followed by an excellent, moving and challenging testimony from Billy Ainscough, who was at Hillsborough 25 years ago in the stadium disaster that saw 96 Liverpool fans lose their lives.

Awards were presented afterwards to:

Team awards:

  • League winners – Longton CCFC
  • Runners up – Great Eccleston FMFC
  • Champions Cup winners – Longton CCFC
  • Runners up – Fulwood FMFC
  • League Trophy winners – Great Eccleston FMFC
  • Runners up – Quernmore
  • All day tournament winners – Longton CCFC
  • Runners up – Great Eccleston FMFC
  • Fair play award – Wray

Individual awards:

  • Manager of the year – Mick Lund, Quernmore
  • Runners up – S Cobham, Longton.  A Towers – Loko
  • Leading goalscorer – Jonny Sudell – Lancaster
  • Runners up – Ryan Alker – Fulwood.  Jack Sharples – Gt Eccleston
  • Player of the year – Jonny Sudell – Lancaster
  • Runners up – Jack Sharples – Gt Eccleston.  Will Marsden – Quernmore & Ryan Alker – Fulwood.

The referees were also thanked for their hard work and commitment over the season and presented with vouchers for Mikes Sportsworld.
